It is with curiosity that I prepare for our first Study Group at the Studio.
The invitation is to come with questions and a note book. I wonder … what will the questions be? Will they be questions that one has always had about Trikonasana?
As we explore the relationship between Trikonasana and leg stretches, perhaps the door will open for some to find new questions … questions from a deeper place. Perhaps our asana work together will bring us to a new understanding of this difficult pose.
Every query is so important. I think that when we can honestly look at our own practice and open ourselves to learn from one another, is when we remain inspired and fresh.
This Study Group will be of interest to yoga teachers, teachers-in-training and students with a serious commitment to learning.
I share this quote from Buddha with you …..
"Believe nothing, O monks, merely because you have been told it … or because it is traditional, or because you yourselves have imagined it.
Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher.
But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings – that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide."
