This year the upcoming flu season has been a little more prevalent in our community and in our minds. We have all heard in the news about the predicted severity of this season’s outbreak and I would like to take this opportunity to address this with the health of our students and teachers in mind.
Please consider these few tips while practicing at the studio.
o Bring your own mat. It is more hygienic and prevents the spreading of germs from student to student.
o Consider using the antiseptic lotion located at the front desk. All the teachers will use this before teaching each class.
o Please don’t come to class if you are experiencing any symptoms. We are very flexible at allowing make-up classes.
o If you wish not to be touched by your teacher or other students in partner work, please let your teacher know and your wish will be respected.
o Please take your used tissues and drinking cups out of the yoga room at the end of class and dispose of them in the garbage.
o Understand that if your teacher is unwell, every effort will be made to find a suitable substitute teacher to fill in. Please be supportive of these helpful teachers filling in at the last moment.
o Please update the studio with your contact information (i.e.: email address) so that you can be easily contacted in the event the studio needs to be closed.
o Please let your teacher know of any changes in your health so that they are better informed on how to adapt your yoga practice to you.
Thank you for your continued support. You are appreciated.
Be well.
